The Tagada Config MCP lets an AI assistant inspect how your stores are configured. The setup checklist in the CRM marks a step completed as soon as the record exists; these tools tell you whether it actually works — a processor can be saved and archived, and the checklist counts it either way.

Nothing to install, no API key. The tools come in four groups:

Group	What the assistant can do
Stores	List your stores and diagnose their setup: catalog, shipping, payment, checkout
Canvas	Read a funnel and change it through the canvas: pages, wires, rules
Studio	Drive the Studio tabs you have open: read a page, edit it live, screenshot it, save it
Actions	Find and run the CRM actions your role allows, with a confirmation step before anything destructive or involving money

The assistant sees exactly what your CRM role lets you see, across every organisation you belong to, and it can only change what your role lets you change.

Drive Studio from your assistant

Open a page in Studio from the CRM, then ask your assistant to work on it. The Studio tab talks to the Tagada API on its own, so the assistant reaches it with nothing to install and no browser permission, in any browser. See Studio MCP for how it works.

open_in_studio gives the Studio link of a page, for you to open.
studio_tabs lists the Studio tabs you have open. With more than one, pass its tabId to the other Studio tools.
studio_view_tree, studio_update_nodes_batch, studio_add_page_from_template, studio_screenshot and studio_save cover a page build.
studio_run runs any other Studio tool; studio_run with tool: "help" lists them.

Edits land in your open tab, where you can undo them. Nothing is deployed until you, or the assistant through studio_save, save the page.

Connect your client

Then run /mcp and pick tagada to sign in.

In Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector and paste:

Leave the optional OAuth client fields empty, then sign in when the browser opens. All three surfaces share one connector — adding it once is enough.On Team and Enterprise plans, only an owner can add a connector for the whole organisation.

Custom connectors sit behind developer mode, which you switch on in ChatGPT’s settings. Once it is on, add a custom connector and paste:

Developer mode is a web-app feature and needs a paid plan. On Business and Enterprise workspaces, an admin may have to allow connected data before it appears.

Open Connectors, click Add Connector, choose Custom MCP Connector, name it Tagada and paste:

Click Connect, sign in, then turn Tagada on in the chat’s tools menu. Only a workspace admin can add a connector.

Then run /mcp auth tagada in Gemini CLI to sign in.

Any client speaking Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 works, usually with the same JSON:

Your client should now list the server tagada-crm-config and its tools. Staging accounts use https://api.tagada.dev/api/mcp instead.

Troubleshooting

No Tagada tools appear

Restart the client after saving its MCP configuration. Most clients only read their config at startup.

'Store not found, or not reachable with this authorization'

Either the store id is wrong, or it belongs to an organisation you are not a member of — the message is deliberately the same in both cases. Run list_stores for the ids you can reach.

'Your role on … does not grant …'

The tool needs a permission your role lacks — diagnose_store area payment needs processor-read rights. Ask an admin to widen your role.

'No Studio tab is open'

Open the page in Studio from the CRM, signed in with the same account as your assistant, and keep the tab open. A tab counts as open while it has been seen in the last 30 seconds; a tab in the background of a sleeping laptop drops out until it wakes.

'Rate limit exceeded'

You passed 120 tool calls in a minute. Wait for the delay in the Retry-After header. Your API keys are on a separate budget.
