# Connect your AI

> From zero to an AI agent that works on your CRM and edits your Studio pages, with one connector: Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat, Gemini, Cursor, Codex and more.

One connector gives your AI agent both halves of Tagada: the **CRM** (stores, funnels, orders, setup checks) and **Studio** (your pages, edited live). Nothing to install: it takes about five minutes, whichever AI you use.

```text theme={null}
https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp
```

<Warning>
  **Studio needs a store on CRM V3.** Your agent can only edit a page in Studio when the store runs on the new dashboard (`v3.tagada.io`). On a store still on CRM V2, the CRM tools work but Studio does not connect, and Studio shows "This store runs on CRM V2". The CRM tools work on both.
</Warning>

## What you need

* A **Tagada account** with access to the store you want to work on.
* An AI client that supports remote MCP connectors (the tabs below). On team plans, adding a connector is often an admin's job; each member then only signs in.

## 1. Add the connector

Pick your AI. In Studio, the **MCP not connected** badge at the top opens the same steps, with the address of your environment already filled in.

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Claude">
    Claude on the web, desktop and mobile share one connector.

    1. Open **Settings → Connectors** and click **Add custom connector**.
    2. Name it **Tagada** and paste `https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp`. Leave the OAuth fields empty, then click **Add**.
    3. Click **Connect** next to the connector and sign in with your Tagada account.

    Custom connectors work on every plan; the Free plan allows one. On **Team and Enterprise** plans, an owner adds the connector once in **Organization settings → Connectors**, then each member only signs in.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="ChatGPT">
    Custom connectors sit behind **developer mode** (web app, paid plan).

    1. Switch on developer mode in ChatGPT's settings.
    2. Add a custom connector and paste `https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp`.
    3. Sign in with your Tagada account when ChatGPT asks.

    On Business and Enterprise workspaces, an admin may have to allow connected data before it appears.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Le Chat (Mistral)">
    1. Open **Connectors**, click **Add Connector** and choose the **Custom MCP Connector** tab.
    2. Name it **Tagada**, paste `https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp` and click **Connect**.
    3. Sign in with your Tagada account, then turn **Tagada** on in the chat's tools menu.

    Only a workspace admin can add a connector. On Free, Pro and Student plans, that is the account owner.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Gemini CLI">
    ```bash theme={null}
    gemini mcp add --transport http tagada https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp
    ```

    Then, in Gemini CLI, run `/mcp auth tagada` and sign in with your Tagada account. Add `--scope user` to use it in every project.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Claude Code">
    ```bash theme={null}
    claude mcp add --transport http tagada https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp
    ```

    Then run `/mcp`, pick **tagada** and sign in with your Tagada account.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Cursor">
    Add this to `.cursor/mcp.json`, or to your global Cursor settings:

    ```json theme={null}
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "tagada": {
          "url": "https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
    ```

    Cursor asks you to sign in the first time it calls a Tagada tool.
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Codex">
    ```bash theme={null}
    codex mcp add tagada --url https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp
    codex mcp login tagada
    ```
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="Other clients">
    Any client speaking **Streamable HTTP** with **OAuth 2.1** works, usually with this config:

    ```json theme={null}
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "tagada": {
          "url": "https://api.tagada.io/api/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
    ```

    Restart the client after saving its config: most only read it at startup.
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

Staging accounts use `https://api.tagada.dev/api/mcp` instead.

## 2. Try the CRM

Start a new chat, check that **Tagada** is turned on in your client's tools menu, and ask:

> "List my Tagada stores."

Your agent answers with your stores. Then try:

* "Show me the funnel of store X."
* "Check store X for setup problems."
* "Why are cards declined on store X?"

Your agent asks before it runs a tool that changes something. Read what it is about to do before you allow it.

## 3. Edit a page in Studio

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the page">
    Open the page in Studio from the CRM V3 dashboard, signed in with the **same Tagada account** as your agent. You can also ask your agent: "Give me the Studio link for the checkout page of store X."
  </Step>

  <Step title="Keep the tab open">
    The tab connects by itself: there is nothing to click. Your agent works through it, so leave it open while you work. The badge at the top of Studio turns green when your agent reaches the tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the connection">
    Ask: "Which Studio tabs do I have open?" Your agent lists your tab with its store and page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Then try a first edit:

* "Show me the structure of the page."
* "Change the main heading to 'Hello World'." The change appears live in the Studio tab.
* "Take a mobile screenshot of the page."
* "Save the page."

<Warning>
  **Saving publishes.** Studio has no draft: a save puts the page live at its funnel address. Edits stay in the open tab until the page is saved, and you can undo them in Studio, so look at the result before you ask your agent to save.
</Warning>

## Troubleshooting

| What you see | What to do |
| - | - |
| No Tagada tools in your AI | Turn the connector on in the chat's tools menu. In a CLI or an editor, restart it after adding the connector. If it still does not show, remove the connector and add it again. |
| The sign-in window does not open | Allow pop-ups for your AI's site, then click **Connect** again. |
| Studio says "This store runs on CRM V2" | Studio over the MCP needs a store on CRM V3. The CRM tools still work on this store. |
| "No Studio tab is open" | Open the page in Studio with the same Tagada account as your agent, and keep the tab open. A tab in a sleeping laptop drops out until it wakes. |
| The edit went to the wrong page | With several Studio tabs open, ask "Which Studio tabs do I have open?" and tell your agent which one to use. |
| You set up `npx @tagadapay/studio-mcp` before | Studio V3 no longer uses the local server: remove the `tagada-studio` entry from your client's config and add the connector above. |
